now being carried out by a member of the choir. Simon Cock, a past Chairman, has also been

Christmas concert creates a record A message from Wendy to choir members and all friends of the
choir: I thought I would just let you know that I had a call
from Marie Curie Cancer Care yesterday to tell me that we raised the
most amount of money for their Sing Out campaign at our concert in
December. They wanted me to pass on their thanks to everyone and so say
that there may well be a piece on the choir in their next newsletter.
The Rev Alan Gyle entertains the Committee The
members of the committee were greeted by Fr Alan Gyle on 29 April in the
Vicarage of St Paul's Knightsbridge to meet those involved in the
Church, including, of course, Fr Richard Coles, two of the Wardens, the Hon
Treasurer and also some of the Church's own choir, all professional singers. It was one of the perfect, warm spring evenings, and most of the guests
moved into the garden. Two members of the congregation who are members
of the choir, Clariette Wilmot and John Roberts, were
present
too. Towards the end of the evening Alan Gyle gave a short and warm
address, drawing upon some of the history of the Festival Choir and its
connection with the Church. He expressed a hope that there may be ways of
bringing that relationship closer together in the future.
