An idea was put forward, and applauded by members of the choir, to have a web
page devoted to a brief description of each singer. It was
felt that it would interest members, and would enhance the spirit of the
Choir. Those who are kindly giving their details to the Web Master
are keeping entries very broadly to about 40 words, and they understand that he
has editorial responsibilities! Please e-mail entries to
davidnhall@hotmail.com or to
editor@leigh-surrey.org.

Anne Dunn. I
joined the choir while nursing in London in the late 1950’s. I was
house-matron at Westminster School from where I slipped out of the boarding
house during prep, for the weekly rehearsals and returned in time for
evening surgery! I also took part in some of the School’s concerts. Singing
in the choir is an important part of my life and to have learned and
performed such an exciting variety of works with Dick’s and now with
Richard’s encouraging guidance has been a wonderful privilege. As well as
being a recorder player, taking part in performances of the London Recorder
Orchestra, I am a member of my church choir at St Matthew’s, Bayswater where
we sing mostly the Prayer Book services on Sunday mornings.
